Bio:
 
Amy Reckley holds a BA from Kalamazoo College, a Post-Baccalaureate degree from SACI in Florence, an MFA in Drawing from Colorado State University and has participated in several residencies throughout the United States.

Artist Statement:

I am interested in the dialogue that occurs between process and form (neither one holding precedence over another) moving toward a communicated idea. To start, I glean from the daily physical and psychological experiences of spaces.

My intellectual processes and the action of making, reveal a momentary understanding that holds the possibility of a shift or change in the familiar. I am interested in the potential of an instance where space, location, and time teeter between reality and imagination.
