Graphics/ Michael Fenton

  Bio:

Michael Fenton has been an artist and a teacher in Northern Colorado for over ten years. He currently teaches art history at Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado. Michael also works in the media of drawing, photography, and computer graphics as a freelance artist.

In addition, Michael designed the badges currently being displayed on the Facebook page and Twitter account associated with this project as well as the front of our exhibit's postcard.

Artist Statement:

My artwork is generally about friendship, communication, and play. Beyond these basic connections, I tend to treat each work as the unique experience that it is.

In this case, I was able to make artwork with and for my friends. At the same time, communication was emphasized in many ways, especially in the multimedia interactions between myself and the exhibition team. Finally, this project gave me just the right mixture of guidance and freedom and thereby allowed my own creativity to thrive.

Thanks to Jennie Kiessling, Kathy Webb, and their entire team for the allowing me to participate in this exciting project.

Installation at FCMoCA:
